What C4D Plugin Manager does
C4D Plugin Manager is a small free plugin that gives our other plugins one settings screen in your dashboard. It doesn’t change anything on your site by itself.
Do I need it?
Only if you want to change shop-wide settings. Our plugins work without it and use their default settings.
| Plugin | Works without Plugin Manager | What Plugin Manager adds |
|---|---|---|
| Variation Images | Swatches, per-option galleries and colour names | Custom colours, swatch size and shape, shop page swatches, tooltips, gallery and zoom settings |
| Product Bundles | Bundles, discounts and dates set on each product | Default discount, shop-wide display options, fonts and colours, badges and the View Bundle button |
Install it
- Go to Plugins › Add New Plugin.
- Search for “C4D Plugin Manager”.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
A new C4D Manager item appears in the dashboard menu. Each of our plugins you have active adds its own section to it, such as Variation Swatches or Bundle Products.
Version 3.1.0 includes Redux Framework 4.5.16, the settings library it’s built on, so you don’t need to install Redux separately. It’s tested with WordPress 7.1 and PHP 8.4.
Saving and resetting
Change settings in any section and click Save Changes at the top or bottom of the screen. Settings are saved for all sections at once.
Reset Section puts the current section back to its defaults. Reset All does the same for every section, so use it with care.
The General section
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| JS & CSS Version | Removes the version number from the plugins’ script and style links. On by default. Turn it off if you want browsers and caching plugins to fetch fresh files after each plugin update. |
| Enable Shortcode Widget | Lets the standard Text widget run shortcodes, such as [c4d_woo_bundle]. |
Moving settings to another site
Redux, the settings library, has an Import / Export section at the bottom of C4D Manager. Export on one site, paste into Import on the other and save. This copies all C4D Manager settings, which is useful when you move from a staging site to your live shop.
